Click here for a specific list of the required clothing for each day.
------------------------
Other Important Information:
- Luggage: Remember that girls are responsible for carrying their own luggage, so avoid packing any unnecessary items. Also, please follow the rules for the size of the baggage and avoid packing any restricted items.
- Shampoos, liquid soaps, and any other liquid item should be packed in individually sealed zipper-seal plastic bags.
- Electronic items may be carried at your own risk.
- Each girl should have a copy of the day-to-day wardrobe list.
- Sunglasses and rain gear or umbrellas may come in handy.
- Girls should bring enough cash and/or travelers checks for some lunches and dinners and any snacks or souvenirs.
- Girls bringing cameras may wish to bring extra rolls of film as well as whatever batteries the camera needs.
- Girls who wear contacts should be sure to bring an extra pair and enough contact solution. It would be wise to bring a pair of glasses also.
- Girls are required to follow strict safety rules provided by the chaperones. Also, smoking (or even possession of cigarettes) is strictly prohibited at all times. Discipline will be enforced at the discretion of the chaperones, director, and tour director.
- The phone tree list is provided to communicate with parents, during the tour, about the day-to-day activities. When you get the message, please call the next person in line. If you get an answering machine, please leave the message and then call the next person in line until you speak to someone personally. They will in turn call the person next on the list. If you are going to be out of town and would like another relative's name to be called, please inform our tour director. We also plan to leave messages in the choir office machine, and we intend to update the web pages with a daily journal.
- We will call with an estimated time of return once we are headed back to Chattanooga, and the phone tree will spread the message.
- NO PHONE CALLS will be accepted for the girls during the tour except in an emergency situation.
- The Girls Choir web page is an excellent source for parents and friends to use to monitor the tour progress. Each day we will try to post an account of the day's activities. The journal page is at girlschoir.home.mindspring.com/2002tour/02index.htm. Bookmark it and check in on your girl daily!
