Join us on our summer tour!
We're home (and as of Sunday, so is our luggage!) The tour was wonderful and memorable, and we wish we could have shared it with you every day. Unfortunately, internet connections at the end of the tour proved to have more problems than we had time to solve. It's all updated now. Thanks for your patience! ~ Amy

First Baptist Church of Chattanooga sanctuary [changed 5/31] |
| Thur., June 9: | Chattanooga/Atlanta/Rome: Leave Chattanooga by bus from First Baptist Church. Tour members must be at church by 12 noon!
Travel by bus to Atlanta airport for flight to Rome, Italy (changing planes in Memphis and Amsterdam). |
| Fri., June 10: | Rome: Arrive approx. 3 p.m. Italy time (9 a.m. Chattanooga time).
Sightseeing bus tour of Rome (Roma) on the way to the hotel. Dinner at hotel. Optional evening walking tour. |
| Sat., June 11: | Rome: Half-day tour of Religious Rome (Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel).
Sing for 5:00 p.m. mass at St. Peter's Dinner at Restaurant La Cabana. |
| Sun., June 12: | Rome: Half-day tour of Imperial Rome (Roman Forum, Colosseum, Baths of Caracalla, Trevi Fountain, etc).
Dinner at Restaurant Grotta Azzurra. Evening performance in S. Trinita as part of American Celebration of Music in Italy. |
| Mon., June 13: | Rome/Siena: Depart for Siena at 6:30 a.m. with boxed breakfast on the bus.
Sing in 10 a.m. mass in the Siena Duomo ("cathedral"). Guided walking tour of Siena (one of the great Renaissance cities), including Piazza Del Campo, the 13th-century Town Hall, and the Duomo entranceway. Check into hotel. Dinner at hotel. |
| Tue., June 14: | Siena/Florence: Buffet breakfast at hotel. Depart for Florence (Firenze) at 11:00 a.m.
Half-day tour of Florence, including Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio ("old bridge"), the Academy of Fine Arts (Michelangelo), the Uffizi Gallery, and the Baptistry. Check into hotel. Dinner at Restaurant Uffizi. Evening performance in S. M. de Ricci as part of American Celebration of Music in Italy. |
| Wed., June 15: | Florence/Venice: Buffet breakfast at hotel. Depart for Venice (Venecia) at 11:00 a.m.
Check into hotel. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Dinner at hotel. |
| Thur., June 16: | Venice/Milan: Buffet breakfast at hotel.
Take boat to main island of San Marco. Walking tour of St. Mark's Square, Bell Tower, Palace of the Doges. Afternoon at leisure on island. Dinner at Restaurant Canaletto. Return to Treviso. Evening performance at Loggia Dei Cavalieri Alessandra as part of American Celebration of Music in Italy. Leave for Milan (Milano) by bus after concert. Arrive at Milan Airport at 3:30 a.m. |
| Fri., June 17: | Milan/Atlanta/Chattanooga: Leave for U.S. from Milan International Airport at 6:55 a.m.
After changing planes in Amsterdam, arrive in Atlanta at 1:55 p.m. (Atlanta time). After eventually emerging from Customs, travel by bus from Atlanta to First Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Estimated arrival: Friday evening, 5:30-7:00 p.m. (we'll call!) |
