A
Word from the Fundraising Committee
Although fundraising is not a requirement for your daughter's membership
in the Chattanooga Girls Choir, it still plays a very important part in
the day to day operation of the choir itself. Fundraising is a necessary
part of the choir's means of being able to offer opportunities to your
daughter that are now being offered and many more to come. The Fundraising
Committee is excited about some upcoming opportunities that will be offered
to the members of the Chattanooga Girls Choir and their parents to help
in this great venture. We invite you to check your High Notes each week
for new opportunities that you can help with.

room. We will be offering items from 50¢ to $12.00. Stop by and see what
special buys you can make. Some of the items offered will be t-shirt and
sweatshirts from previous concerts to first aid kits and pizza coupons.
Candy
Sales
We are also offering Valentine lollipops for 50¢ each. These will make
great favors for Valentine parties and co-workers. You can also take a
bag of these to sell to your family and friends. Stop by the Fundraising
table for more information. We will also be selling chocolate candy bars
for $1.00 each. Choir members can also take boxes of these to sell to
family and friends.
We
will also be setting up in front of local stores to sell the candy items
very soon. We will be asking for volunteers, both choir members and parents,
to help with this project. This will be a great way for you to earn your
volunteer hours. Be watching for more details on this.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Lauren Pollard, Grace Moore Singers, on her selection
to the Tennessee All State Choir. Students are selected for one of the
three All State Choirs based on their audition score, participation in
a regional Honor Choir (All East, All Mid-State, All-Northwest or All-Southwest)
and passing a final screening. Lauren will sing 1st soprano in the All
State SATB Choir. The choirs start three days of rehearsals on March 29
and the concert will be held at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville
on March 31. Audition and selection for an All State Choir is very competitive
and this the second consecutive year that Lauren has been chosen for this
honor.
